| What is Anti-Sniping? |

You Have Been OUT BID! Sorry! Auction Has Ended! You Can No Longer Bid On This Item! #@%*! Has this ever happened to you? If so, more than likely YOU WERE SNIPED ! As you probably know, there are people who like to wait just before an auction ends before placing there bid at the last second. Even worse, there are websites out there that have Bots (automated bidders) that will do it for them. This is called "Auction Sniping" and it has been the cause of much grief for Sellers and Buyers alike. We believe that online auctioning should be more like real life auctioning. You wouldn't go to a live auction and hear the auctioneer say "this item up for bid starts at $$$ and ends in 10 minutes" Understandably the item would be brought out and bidding would begin and not stop until bidding has slowed. Then you would hear the Auctioneer say "going once ... going twice ... SOLD!" This "going once, going twice" statement lets everyone know the auction is about to end and gives everyone a last chance to place another bid. Let us introduce Anti-Sniping Technology When you place your item up for bid, even though you specify a number of days for the auction to end and a countdown starts, your auction will NOT END until 3 minutes after the last bid! For the buyer, this means no more losing an auction at the last second because of automated systems bidding against you. |
