Shill Bidding is a bid placed by dishonest Sellers on their own item in hopes of "running the auction price up" so that it sells for more than it would have. ie. It forces an honest buyer to, more or less, bid against themselves. This is done by dishonest Sellers having multiple accounts or getting a friend to bid for them.

At JaGetit.com we log EVERY IP address of Sellers and Buyers. If an IP address of a bidder is found to match that of the Seller, an ALERT is immediately triggered, we cancel the bid and an warning is issued. If an IP address of a bidder is found to be within the same geographic location as the Seller, a NOTIFICATION is sent to us and we begin to closely monitor the auction.
